December 6 and 7, 2025: Wachet Auf! Selections will include the J.C.F. Bach motet “Wachet Auf” paired with the setting of “Wachet Auf” by Michael Praetorious and the J.S. Bach “Magnificat” (BWV 243). The Chorale will be accompanied by full baroque orchestra with concert master Dr. John Moran who will also perform the Concerto grosso in G minor by Arcangelo Corelli known as the Christmas Concert.
March 21 and 22, 2026: Psalms and Celebrations: The Washington Saxophone Quartet will be joining the Chorale on this concert as they celebrate the quartet’s 50th anniversary. The Chorale will perform the rarely heard cantata “Psalmus Hungaricus” of Zoltan Kodály and selections by the quartet include a rendition of their first performance piece, the J. S. Bach “Tocatta and Fugue in D minor.”
May 30 and 31, 2026: Lamentations into Joy: The concert will highlight settings of Lamentations transformed into Joy through a newly composed work by our composer-in-residence Kevin Siegfried.
