March Concert Canceled Due to Ongoing Coronavirus Concerns

The Artistic Director and the Board of Directors voted unanimously to suspend rehearsals and cancel our upcoming concert, Songs Both Great and Small, scheduled for March 21st and 22nd. We made this decision for several reasons, the most important being the health and welfare of our members and our audience. We’re certainly disappointed. We spent the last 10 weeks immersed in beautiful music by Josquin des Prez, Juan Gutierrez de Padilla, Benjamin Britten, and Phillip Glass, not to mention new pieces by Kevin Siegfried. All that work will not go to waste, though, as these pieces will definitely make their way into our 2020-2021 season!

We hope you will join us for our June concert, Songs for the Journey. If you purchased tickets for Songs Both Great and Small, you may use them for Songs for the Journey or any other concert through the end of next season. For our season ticket holders, we are offering an additional ticket to any of our concerts, again through the end of June 2021. Alternatively, if you would like to donate the price of your ticket and would like a recognition of your donation, please email us at [email protected] and include your name, mailing address, and the number of tickets you purchased.

We understand that the ongoing situation may put a strain on personal budgets. In that light, we have lifted our ticket refund policy. If you require a refund for tickets purchased for the March concert, contact us at [email protected].

While last night’s rehearsal ended quickly after sharing this news, we still took the time to sing through one of the "small" works from Songs Both Great and Small. It seemed particularly poignant considering the circumstances. Since we can't present our full concert this March, we thought we'd leave you with this lovely tune arranged by Kevin: "Life is Mostly What We Make It."

We hope you stay well. We are looking forward to seeing you in June!

Thank you for your support.
