Join us on Friday, April 16 at 7:00pm, for the premiere of our next virtual concert: Songs Both Great and Small. Originally slated to take place in March 2020 and cancelled due to the pandemic, we have worked to adapt last year’s concert to a virtual setting.
The concert contrasts choral repertoire for double chorus and numerous voice parts against works for four voices and small ensembles –a particularly challenging feat in today’s world of virtual music-making. Live introductions by Artistic Director Binkholder will provide additional insight and context.
Included in Songs Both Great and Small is an excerpt of Juan Gutiérrez de Padilla’s Missa Flos Campi, a handful of intimate madrigals, and classics like My Spirit Sang All Day by Gerald Finzi.
Because of size limitations on Zoom, the concert is limited to 500 attendees, so be sure to reserve your space by grabbing a ticket. While we have suggested a donation of $15 to attend, this is a pay-what-you-can event and all proceeds go directly to the Chorale. We appreciate anything you can give to support CHC while we all navigate the effects of the coronavirus together.
