The Chorale gave two performances at Unity of Washington, DC, Seventh & A Streets NE, on March 19 and 21, 1999, both at 7:30 PM, on a program drawn entirely from the musical theater.
Harry Warren’s “Lullaby of Broadway” framed the evening, opening the concert as a prologue and returning at the end. In between came sets from Pippin, Crazy for You, Candide, Jacques Brel is Alive and Well and Living in Paris, and Ain’t Misbehavin’, along with a closing group billed as “The Magic of Stephen Sondheim.”
