The Chorale’s third program honors The Great War, featuring music by composers who fought in or memorialized World War I. The program centers on the rarely-heard Memory Eternal to the Fallen Heroes (World War I Requiem), written in 1917 by the Russian composer Alexander Kastalksy (1856-1926), honoring the war dead from all of the allied nations. Other musical memorials include works by Vaughan Williams, C.V. Stanford, Ravel, and Eleanor Daley.
