Join us for our annual Spaghetti Dinner and Auction!

What do you get when you mix pasta, sauce, wine, and a community of people who love making music together? You get a night of good food and great fun, all for a cause dear to our hearts!

On May 16th, members of the Capitol Hill Chorale, along with our families and friends, will come together for our annual Spaghetti Dinner, our biggest fundraiser of the year. We start with wine and a silent auction of hundreds of items donated by CHC members, professionals, businesses, and artists from around the DC area. Dinner calls us to the tables for delicious handmade food: A dedicated team spends the whole day making sauce, grilling sausage from A. Litteri, tossing fresh green salad, and boiling piles of pasta. Meanwhile, homemade lemon sherbet plays it cool in the nearby freezer.

In a group like ours, music is never far from our minds. While the plates are being passed around, some of our members show off their talents during the entertainment portion of the evening. In more than a decade of Spaghetti Dinners we’ve had a cappella groups, barbershop quartets, magic tricks, recitations, adorable children, violins, accordions, bluegrass trios, Elvis impersonators, and choreographed ridiculousness! We are such a talented group!

The evening closes with a live auction. The bidding gets heated for weekends at the Willard Intercontinental Hotel, season tickets for area theatres, and more high-quality items. As we wind down, the last of the sauce and sausages make their way into convenient take-home packages.

Each year we raise thousands of dollars at this special event. These funds go directly to our operating costs, allowing us to bring more wonderful music to this community. Our annual Spaghetti Dinner and Silent Auction is a success because of you: You volunteer, you donate, you eat, you bid, and you are part of the fun! We hope you will join us this May.

Tickets will be available soon. To donate an auction item or volunteer, please email [email protected]. Download the donation form in advance. We will get in touch!
