CHC Heads to Europe this Summer!

For the first time in its 23-year history, the Capitol Hill Chorale will tour to Vienna, Salzburg, and Prague

We are very excited to announce that members of the Capitol HIll Chorale will head to Austria and the Czech Republic in July! We will be performing several concerts in historic venues in Vienna, Salzburg, and Prague.

  • The tour kicks off in Vienna with two concerts - including a mass and lunch-time concert at St. Stephan's Cathedral July 13th.
  • We head to Salzburg in time for the Rhapsody! International Music Festival and a concert a Salzburg Christuskirche on July 14th.
  • Next we're off to Prague (with a stop along the way to visit the von Trapps) where we'll offer musical support for the mass at St. Tyn's Church July 16th and a full concert at St. Ignatius July 17th.

Between rehearsals and performances, we plan to visit old friends (Mozart, Beethoven) and introduce fellow choirs to the gorgeous music of Paliashvili and our own composer-in-residence Kevin Siegfried.

We hope you'll join us for our June concert, Harmony of Angels, showcasing Kevin's music built upon melodies from the Shaker community. We'll be taking many of these pieces with us "on the road."
